LAHORE: Divisional administration on Tuesday held a meeting of senior officials of various departments to finalise administrative, logistic and security arrangements for the PSL-X cricket matches to be played in the Gaddafi Stadium here from Thursday (tomorrow).

“There should be no issue on the part of anyone while giving support to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in holding all matches smoothly,” Lahore Commissioner Zaid Bin Maqsood said while presiding over the meeting held here on Tuesday to review the arrangements.

A total 10 PSL-X matches will be played in Lahore from April 24 to May 4. From May 14 onward, the quarter finals, semi finals and the final matches will also be played in Lahore.

The commissioner, on the occasion, was given detailed briefings regarding preparations for the PSL matches by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), district administration and relevant departments.

The district administration and PCB officials in their briefings told the commissioner that monitoring centres, Rescue 1122 camps, field hospitals, control rooms and CCTV cameras surveillance are being ensured in the stadium. Besides, they said, four parking sites are also being established outside the stadium for the visitors.

He was informed that the Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) workers would keep the stadium and enclosures’ washrooms clean during the matches.

“The departments must ensure the successful conduct of PSL matches according to the schedule and given targets,” the commissioner said, adding that a strict check on food prices and hygiene standards inside the stadium must be ensured.

Additional Commissioner Abdul Salam Arif also attended the briefing, along with officers of police, district administration, traffic police, Rescue 1122, PCB and other departments.
