ISLAMABAD: A transgender person was allegedly gang-raped at gunpoint after being detained in a house, police said.

The assailants also looted cash, gold and a mobile phone from her at gunpoint.

A case has been registered at the Shalimar police station against the suspects following a complaint lodged by the victim.

According to the police, a man picked up the transgender person from F-10 Markaz on the pretext of attending a marriage function. He then drove her to a house located in G-13/G-14.

Upon reaching the house, the man, along with another accomplice, began beating her and then sexually assaulted her, she said.

She further told the police she was gang-raped and subjected to further physical violence.

The suspects also looted gold ornaments weighing half a tola (worth approximately Rs125,000), an Infinix Note 30 mobile phone (worth around Rs45,000) and Rs17,000 in cash.
