KHUZDAR: Armed men snatched two vehicles, weapons and mobile phones from the motorway police in Mangochar area of Kalat district on Wednesday.

According to Levies officials, Sub-Inspector Syed Nooruddin of the National Highways and Motorways Police informed the Levies station in Mangochar that he, along with three other personnel, were on routine patrol in two vehicles when six armed men appeared on two motorcycles.

The attackers forced them to disembark and moved them a considerable distance away. Soon after, another group of seven to eight individuals arrived on four motorcycles. They took away the vehicles, two Kalashnikovs, four pistols and four mobile phones, the officials said.
