TAXILA: A fifth-grade student was allegedly raped by a man on the premises of a mosque in the Pind Sultani village within the limits of Bassal police station in Attock on Sunday, police sources said.

A complainant told the police that his niece was lured to a mosque by the suspect where he raped her. Later during a search for the girl, the family members found the girl in an unconscious condition.

The victim was taken to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Jand where a medical examination confirmed the assault, sources revealed.

The police registered a case against the nominated accused and launched further investigation.

A police spokesperson said that the suspect had confessed to the crime and would be tried as per law.

Meanwhile, a female school teacher was allegedly abducted by unknown persons in the limits of Taxila police station.

A woman reported to the police that her 21-year-old daughter who was a teacher at a local private school went to the school but did not return.

She said her daughter was allegedly abducted by unknown persons.

Taxila police registered a case and launched a probe to recover the girl.
