The fear of imperfection

This is with reference to the article “The fear of imperfection” by Minhal Haque (YW, December 7). Being a student, the opinion perfectly pictures my struggle of aiming to appear flawless and perfect in my surroundings. From the moment I start doing anything, the fear of committing a mistake and not doing it perfectly flows in my mind.

Fortunately, this piece has beautifully portrayed the importance of accepting one’s imperfections as a natural part of being a human. We must let go of unrealistic standards and understand that not being perfect is also a normal trait of being a human.

From fog to smog

This is with reference to the article “From fog to smog” by Benazir Raz (YW, December 7). The piece vividly highlighted the alarming reality of smog, which many of us mistake for harmless fog, especially during the winter months.

The article explained how smog is not only a result of human activities like vehicular emissions and crop burning, but also a significant health hazard affecting us all. It was eye-opening to learn about the devastating impacts of the Great Smog of London.

The suggestions for personal safety and national measures were incredibly practical. I believe it’s high time we took collective action to protect the environment and our health from the growing threat of smog.

Our choices shape our future

Have you ever thought about how the decisions you make today leave a deep impact on your life, career, health, wealth, relationships and personal growth, often in ways you might not have imagined before?

Our habits, and priorities lay the foundation for our future. Each choice, no matter how small or insignificant, serves as a building block for the life we are creating. Everyone has a unique mind-set, and based on it, they set their goals. However, staying committed to those goals requires motivation, a drive not easy to sustain.

The truth is, achieving success demands effort, dedication and a willingness to work hard. You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to become great. Failure is an inevitable part of this journey. Yet, many people struggle to cope with failure and lose their motivation along the way.

Remember, time is a healer, and it keeps moving forward. Nothing remains the same, your losses and triumphs are all part of a timed journey. Your actions today shape your tomorrow. Make conscious decisions to transform your life.
