BAHAWALNAGAR: A minor boy died after falling into an uncovered sewage well near the Madressah area here on Tuesday.

Rescue 1122 officials said eight-year-old Ali Haidar of Chak Phogan fell into the 10-foot deep uncovered sewage well when he was playing near it. After falling into the well, the child was buried under the mud and died, they said.

Rescuers recovered the child’s body from the well and shifted it to Madressah rural health centre.

Rescue officials said sewerage work was going on in the area and the uncovered well caused the child’s death.
