LARKANA: A man allegedly shot dead his sister after killing her friend in Ghulam Rasool Magsi village falling within the jurisdiction of the Mirokhan police station on Monday.

According to the police, Abdul Waheed Magsi shot dead Mohammed Mithal Chandio, 22, who was present on an agricultural field, and then returned to his home to gun down his young sister, Peerani Magsi, 20, “for honour”.

The suspect escaped from the village but a hunt for his arrest was under way, the police said.

The police took the two bodies to the Mirokhan Taluka Hospital but shift that of the woman to the DHQ Qambar for postmortem examination before they were handed over to their respective heirs.

Sources said that the woman’s body had to be taken to the Qambar DHQ because no lady doctor was available at the Mirokhan Taluka Hospital for the postmortem of a woman’s body.
