Three cops held

LARKANA: Three members of a special police team were arrested on Monday for allegedly accepting bribe to let off two suspects.

The team was supposed to trace out and arrest proclaimed offenders and absconders.

ASI Anwar Ali Memon lodged an FIR (No.173/2024) against head constable Rashid Ali Jatoi and constables Mujeebur Rehman Solangi, Nimatullah Memon and Nek Mohammed Sariyo at the Waleed police station. He stated that they arrested two suspects, Narendar Kumar Mir Jatoi but released them after receiving bribe from them.

Solangi, Memon and Sariyo were arrested and produced in a court, which remanded them in police custody for two days.
