Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has said that there is an “utmost necessity” to prioritise the path of calm in the region, Al Jazeera reports.
Sisi made his comments during a meeting with visiting Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen in Cairo.
According to a handout by the Egyptian presidency, Sisi stressed the necessity for a ceasefire in Gaza “to coincide with a serious and decisive path to implement the two-state solution”.
