Gaza’s health ministry has said at least 40,691 people have been killed in the fighting between Israel and Hamas, now in its 11th month, AFP reports.
The toll includes 89 deaths in the previous 48 hours, according to ministry figures, which also list 94,060 people as wounded in the Gaza Strip since October 7.
