Gaza death toll rises to 40,476 since Oct 7, health ministry says

At least 40,476 Palestinians have been killed and 93,647 have been wounded in Israel’s military offensive on Gaza since October 7, the Gaza health ministry has said in a statement, Reuters reports.

The toll includes 41 deaths in the previous 24 hours, the statement added.
