LAHORE, March 28: Trials to select Pakistan team for the 2009 Junior World Cup hockey will start with two-day trials in Quetta on April 4 and 5. The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Director Development has announced the schedule for the open trails.

Probables, who are Under-18 on Jan 1, 2006, are eligible to take part in the trials.

After Quetta, the trials in the second phase will be held in Karachi on April 8-9, Peshawar on 12-13, Islamabad on 15-16 and in Lahore on 19-20.

A selection committee has been formed to conduct the trials which is headed by Zafar Ali Khan with Manzoor Hussain Junior, Khalid Bashir and Qamar Ibrahim as members.

One more member will be inducted from the local city where trials will be held and they are: Akhtarul Islam (Karachi), Saeed Khan (Peshawar, Islamabad) and Akhtar Rasool (Lahore).
