DADU: Four policemen posted at the Nooriabad station were arrested after they were booked for allegedly extorting a family travelling to Karachi from Jamshoro.

It was alleged that the car carrying the family was stopped and its driver harassed for several hours by the policemen near the check-post No. 5 of the M9 Motorway Police at Nooriabad.

Hassan bin Shahid, who was driving the car, complained to Jamshoro SSP Tariq Nawaz that the policemen extorted money from him even after finding his vehicle’s papers correct and genuine. Such video of extortion had gone viral on the social media. The SSP eventually ordered action against the policemen.
