QUETTA: A driver was killed and two other were seriously injured in a gun attack on trucks on Harnai-Sanjavi Road, late on Monday night.

“Two trucks caught fire in the attack,” officials said.

Security officials said the coal-loaded trucks were on their way to Punjab when armed men opened fire from nearby mountains in the Kham Tangi area, killing one driver identified as Nazeer Ahmed Satarzai, a resident of Duki.

Security forces rushed to the site after receiving information about the incident and launched an operation to track down the culprits.
