GWADAR: Two children were injured in a remote control improvised explosive device (IED) blast in Panwal village of Jeweni, Gwadar district, on Friday.

Levies officials said that unknown miscreants planted an IED, which detonated, injuring two children who were playing in the area.

Levies rushed to the site and shifted the injured children to the district hospital. The victims were identified as Abu Baqar and Arman.

“We have also recovered an unexploded IED that was planted in the area,” said a Levies officer.
