City police spokesperson said a police team formed by the city police officer, headed by Madina Town police SP, arrested the suspect in a raid on a place in Faisalabad where he was hiding.

As per police sources, the girl, daughter of a follower of the suspect, was left at his house to work as a maid.

The survivor girl told the police that the suspect had been raping her for the last four months.

Her medical examination revealed that she was pregnant.

Taking notice of the heinous crime, Punjab Women Protection Authority (PWPA) chairperson Hina Pervez Butt had visited on Sunday the house of the survivor on behalf of the chief minister and assured her parents of arrest of the suspect.
