TOBA TEK SINGH: Three people were shot dead after an altercation over an issue in Chak 72-RB in Faisalabad on Monday.

Complainant Rana Shabbir Ahmad said in his FIR, registered under sections 302, 365, and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code by Balochni police, that Asif, his father Asghar and two others kidnapped his son Zubair after an exchange of harsh words two days ago.

When the complainant and others went to rescue Zubair, the suspects opened indiscriminate fire on them. As a result, Zubair and his two cousins, Ghufran and Siddiq, were seriously wounded. They were shifted to Khurrianwala Rural Health Centre where they succumbed to their injuries.

The police are conducting raids to arrest the accused.

Scores of relatives of the deceased blocked traffic for half an hour on Sheikhupura Road at Khurrianwala by placing the bodies on the road.

They demanded the arrest of the killers. However, after police assured them that efforts would be made to arrest the culprits as soon as possible, they ended their protest.
