Bahrain’s National Guard commander calls on COAS

RAWALPINDI: Commander of the National Guard of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Gen Shaikh Mohamed bin Isa bin Salman Al-Khalifa, called on Pakistan’s Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) Gen Asim Munir at the GHQ on Saturday.

The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral military cooperation. Both leaders discussed matters of mutual interest, including regional security dynamics, counterterrorism efforts and training exchanges, the ISPR said in a statement.

On the occasion, the COAS said that Pakistan valued its traditionally strong defence, diplomatic and economic relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain and underscored Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing military ties with Bahrain.

Gen Munir emphasised the importance of collaboration in addressing shared security challenges and promoting peace and stability in the region.
