LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday transferred four district and sessions judges (D&SJs), including a judge of an accountability court hearing Ramzan Sugar Mills reference against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and other important cases.

D&SJ Malik Ali Zulqarnain Awan was transferred from Lahore’s accountability court to Layyah district on repatriation against an existing vacancy.

The judge was also hearing a reference of illegal assets against former chief minister Usman Buzdar.

According to a notification issued by Registrar Sheikh Khalid Bashir, D&SJ Muhammad Sajid Ali was transferred from Jhang to Lahore as director general of Directorate of District Judiciary; D&SJ Javed Iqbal Warraich from Lahore Banking Court-III to Toba Tek Singh on repatriation against an existing vacancy, and D&SJ Muhammad Sarfraz Akhtar from Sargodha to Jhang.

Additional District & Sessions Judge Aslam Panjutha was transferred from Pattoki to Lahore as additional registrar (protocol) at the LHC.
