LAHORE: The Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) on Monday dismissed two of its officials from service for connivance in electricity theft by consumers.

According to a spokesman for the company, Canal Road subdivision SDO had earlier suspended an assistant lineman, Faisal Ramzan and a meter reader Raza Malik on various complaints related to their connivance in power theft.

As the allegations against these officials proved true in a detailed departmental inquiry, both were dismissed by the authorities concerned, he said.
