MIRPURKHAS: A patient was killed and his two relatives were injured when a car shifting him to the district headquarters hospital of Mirpurkhas overturned near a ginning factory on Sindhri Road here on Wednesday.

Witnesses said that Master Jumman, a resident of the village of Kamal Khan Leghari near Old Mirpur, was being taken to the hospital in serious condition when the speeding car met the accident, leaving him dead on the spot and his two relatives seriously injured. They were rushed to the hospital where doctors stabilised them and then referred them to the LUH Hyderabad.

Later, the body was handed over to heirs after completion of medico-legal formalities. The names of the injured could not be ascertained.

Biker killed in accident

A man was killed and his two brothers were seriously injured when a truck coming in the opposite direction collided with their motorcycle near Kolachi stop in the limits of Tando Allahyar police station on Wednesday.

The dead was identified as Ali Haider and the names of his injured brothers could not be ascertained.

The injured were taken to the Tando Allahyar hospital where doctors provided them first aid and then referred them to the LUH Hyderabad.
