LARKANA: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) general secretary Maulana Rashid Mehmood Soomro on Saturday filed his nomination papers to challenge Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari in the contest for the NA-194 (Larkana-Ratodero) seat in the upcoming general elections.

Maulana Soomro’s papers were submitted by his senior colleague and the party’s Larkana chapter general secretary Muhabbat Khuhro.

Muzamil Abro, son of Senator Saifullah Abro, and Abdul Rauf Korai, the Larkana chapter general secretary of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), also filed their nomination papers for the NA-194 (Larkana-Ratodero) seat.

Another candidate for the seat is Gul Hassan Jatoi of the Pakistan Awami Tehreek who also filed his nomination papers on Saturday.

Muzamil Abro, Samiullah Abro file papers against Faryal Talpur on PS-10

Engineer Samiullah Abro has also filed his nomination papers for the NA-195 (Larkana, Dokri, Bakrani) seat.

For the Sindh Assembly seat, PS-10 (Ratodero) Muzamil Abro and Engineer Samiullah Abro filed their nomination papers to contest against PPP women wing chief Faryal Talpur. For PS-11 (Larkana city) seat, Engineer Samiullah Abro and Abdul Rauf Korai filed their nomination papers while for PS-12 (Larkana-Bakrani) seat, Engineer Samiullah Abro and Ghulam Murtaza Soomro filed their nomination papers on Saturday.

JUI-F Larkana district emir Maulana Nasir Mehmood Soomro filed his nomination papers for NA-196 (Qambar-Shahdadkot).

PPP Sindh president Senator Nisar Ahmed Khuhro on Saturday filed his nomination papers for the PS-17 (Warah) seat. A day earlier, he had filed his nomination papers for the NA-197 (Qambar-Shahdadkot), PS-11 (Larkana) and PS-15 (Mirokhan) seats. Published in Dawn, December 24th, 2023
