My parents’ wedding anniversary

This is regarding the story “My parent’s wedding anniversary” by Ibrahim Anwar (YW, October 14). The story was about the love and respect we have for our parents, who are always willing to make sacrifices to protect and care for their children. They do their best to make their kids’ wishes come true in any situation.

Just as our parents make our birthdays and achievements special, it’s our job to create beautiful memories for them in our own simple and thoughtful ways.

My driving experience

This is regarding the article “My driving experience” by Muhammad Ibrahim Shafi (YW, October 7). I really enjoyed reading the article as it was hilarious, as well as educational.

Yes, it is true that a person’s first driving experience is amazing as well as thrilling, just like the boy in the article had to face an unexpected turn when he got overly excited and accidentally harmed a cat.

The story was overall enjoyable and amusing. It skilfully captured the boy’s thrilling emotions throughout his drive.

The Gaza nightmare

The articles, “The Gaza nightmare” and “Palestine: the land of sacred places” by Qasim A. Moini (YW, November 4, 2023) was very informative.

Since Palestine is sacred place to Muslims, Christians as well as Jews, let all the people of the three faiths live together with peace, harmony and mutual cooperation, and this should be the very objective of every living soul.

Wars cause not only destruction of the environment, but also destruction of human lives and their homes too. Famine and diseases, orphans and widows, lame and incapacitate people are some of the irreparable results of wars on both sides, which later become burden on states.

The lost notebook

This is with reference to the story “The lost notebook” by Eisha Khalil (YW, October 14). This story emphasises the significance of honesty in friendship. It underscores that honesty is a fundamental trait that defines our character and plays a pivotal role in building and maintaining healthy relationships.

The narrative highlights the destructive impact of lies and dishonesty on relationships, serving as a warning about how such behaviour can lead to the deterioration of connections over time. Trust, respect and honesty are the foundations of all strong relationships.
