Netflix released new photos from its live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender series, coming up next year.

The live-action adaptation of the Nickelodeon animated series was announced in 2021 and filming began later that year. The animated series ran for three seasons and spawned the spinoff The Legend of Korra.

The series is set in a kingdom divided by the four elements. Gordon Cormier will play Aang, the young master of air, Daniel Dae Kim is Fire Lord Ozai, Elizabeth Yu plays Princess Azula, Paul Sun-Hyng Lee is General Iroh, Dallas Liu is Prince Zuko and Ken Leung is Commander Zhao.

The Netflix adaptation will have eight hour-long episodes in its first season.

**An MCU villain deadlier than Thanos?**

There’s a new villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe who might be even worse than Thanos, the bad guy from Avengers.

In the latest Loki episode on Disney+, a character called General Dox goes on a rampage. She and her crew mess with time, erasing a whole bunch of different timelines, wiping out life in lots of different universes. But don’t worry too much about your favourite heroes from different timelines, like Spider-Man and Deadpool. The creators of Loki were careful about which timelines got erased. It seems like these characters will still have a place in the Marvel Multiverse.

Disney is all set to take the cinematic world by storm with its upcoming animated masterpiece, Wish.

Ariana DeBose, of West Side Story, is lending her enchanting voice to the project, and takes centre stage with her mesmerising performance of “This Wish,” an original song created exclusively for the film. In Wish, DeBose breathes life into the character of Asha, a determined teenager who makes a heartfelt wish upon a star to rescue her kingdom. Her wish takes an unexpected turn as a mischievous star descends from the heavens to accompany her on this remarkable journey.

The screenplay for Wish, releasing on November 17, is the brainchild of the talented duo Jennifer Lee and Allison Moore, with the capable hands of Chris Buck and Fawn Veerasunthorn steering the ship as directors.
