MUZAFFARGARH: Four people sustained injuries when a speeding passenger van overturned and fell into the Muzaffargarh canal here on Monday on Jatoi Road, about 45 kilometers from the city.
Locals and rescue officials rushed to the scene and pulled the passengers and the van out of the canal.
The injured passengers were identified as Raza Jafir (29), Shammal Deen (65), Muhammad Tariq (53), and Rabnawaz (35).
They were all shifted to the Jatoi tehsil headquarters hospital for treatment.
IMRAN’S SISTER: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan’s sister Dr Uzma Khan and her husband Ahad Majeed appeared in the anti-corruption establishment court on land fraud charges.
The hearing of the case was adjourned till Nov 1 due to the absence of record.
Dr Khan and her husband are accused of fraudulently buying 5,261 kanal land in Chobara tehsil at a low price. The case was registered against them by the ACE which has also summoned former Punjab chief minister Usman Buzdar.
