LAHORE: Two armed men allegedly shot a man and his sister dead at their residence in Wahdat Colony area here on Monday.

As per police inquiries, the suspects, Aftab and Majid, arrived at the house of Nauman Butt in Wahdat Colony and after exchanging words with him opened indiscriminate fire, leaving him dead on the spot.

They also shot Nauman’s sister Anosha Butt, who succumbed to her single bullet injury later at a hospital, where she was shifted to in critical condition.

Talking about the motive of the killers, the police official said that the prime suspect, Aftab, had an enmity with Nauman over the murder of the former’s brother.

He said both sides were discussing the murder case when they exchanged hot words, leading to the killings, adding that the bodies have been shifted to the city morgue for autopsy.

Police teams have been formed to arrest the suspects who had fled the scene shortly after the incident, he added.
