GUJRANWALA: A woman and her two minor sons were killed, while her husband was seriously injured when his (her husband’s) rivals opened indiscriminate fire after entering his house at Mauza Ghamanwala.

According to the FIR, suspect Naveed along with his three accomplices entered the house of Babar Zaman Chattha in wee hours of Tuesday, using a ladder and opened indiscriminate fire on the family.

As a result, Chattha’s wife Mudassira Bibi and sons Abdullah (8) and Talha (17) suffered fatal bullet injuries.

Chattha was critically injured in the firing by his rivals, who fled the scene. He was shifted to the district headquarters hospital.

According to police sources, Chattha had allegedly killed five members of Naveed’s family in Kelianwala area of Alipur Chattha some 22 years ago and later moved to Ghammanwala along with his family.

Tatle Ali police station DSP Nawaz Virk said the killings were a result of an old enmity, adding that police teams have been formed to arrest the suspects.
