RAHIM YAR KHAN: A man of Adam Sahaba town of tehsil Sadiqabad alleges his pregnant wife died due to alleged negligence of doctors and staff at a private hospital on Sunday.

Majid Solangi said that he took his wife, Samreen, 22, for her second delivery case at Tehseen Hospital on Circular Road in Rahim Yar Khan.

The hospital administration took his blood for the patient but allegedly transfused the already stored blood, due to which Samreen’s condition deteriorated.

The hospital staff later administered different injections, and advised him to take the patient to Sheikh Zayed Medical College Hospital (SZMCH). She was received dead at the SZMCH’s emergency department.

Solangi said that his wife died due to negligence and unqualified staff. He filed an application with the deputy commissioner (DC) for legal action against the private hospital after an inquiry.

Hospital owner Dr Tehseen did not respond to calls to get his stance. According to sources, the DC sent officials to the hospital to inquire about the cause of Samreen and her baby’s death.
