LAHORE: The Istehkam-i-Pakistan Party (IPP) has changed the date and venue of its first power show in the run-up to the general election.

The IPP was scheduled to hold its first public meeting in Jhang on Friday (Oct 13), but the event has been postponed and it will now be organised in Khanewal on Oct 28.

Party’s central information secretary Firdaus Ashiq Awan claims that engagements of the IPP leadership and a revision of the political strategy are the reason behind the change in the schedule and venue of the public meeting.

She says a new date for the Jhang public meeting will be given soon, adding that there will be no break in the mass-contact drive of the party. The IPP is a newly-formed party led by Jahangir khan Tarin and Abdul Aleem Khan, both former leaders of the PTI.
