TOBA TEK SINGH: Three persons were murdered at Jhang in the cross-fire between two rival groups in the Mochiwala Police Station area of Chak 181-JB on Saturday.
District police spokesperson said Khitchi and Baloch groups had old enmity and a number of people had been killed in the past years in fights between them. He said the cross-fire in the clash left five people injured. Out of them, two of the Baloch group, identified as Bilal Qasim (27) and Arif Khan (60), and one from the Khitchi group, identified as Riasat Ali (47), succumbed to their wounds.
Another critically wounded man of the Khitchi group, Inzamam Ali (25), was referred by the district headquarters (DHQ) hospital to the Faisalabad Allied Hospital.
The spokesman said three suspects belonging to the Khichi group, namely Akhtar Ali, Amir Khan and Sahib Khan, had been arrested.
INJURED: Three minor children were injured seriously after a helium gas cylinder used for filling gas in balloons exploded at Basti Chan Shah in Khanewal.
The Rescue 1122 officials identified two children as Shafqat and Amir while the third child could not be identified. They all have been shifted to the DHQ hospital.
BOOKED: Tirkhani police, Faisalabad, booked 10 men of Chak 46-GB who had allegedly kidnapped two college boys and took them to Chak 44-GB where they tortured and stripped them, made their footage on mobile phones and posted it on social media.
Complainant Muhammad Boota said, in his FIR, that his son, Imran, along with a friend Khalil went to Chak 46-GB to see another friend where Fayaz Faizi and his nine accomplices caught them, took them to Chak 44-GB, locked in a room, stripped them naked and made a video clip. The video clip was later posted on social media. He claimed the suspects had suspicion that the boys were in their village to meet a girl.
ARRESTED: Ahmadpur Sial police in district Jhang arrested a youth who had allegedly raped and axed to death a 10-year-old child on Sept 20.
According to the FIR, the suspect had lured deceased the child to locality of Khoh Roddaywala where he axed him to death after committing rape. The victim’s body was recovered from the fields.
COMMITTEE: A five-member committee has been formed for resolving the complaints related to approved housing schemes and commercial buildings.
Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Director General Chaudhry Muhammad Asif on Saturday told a meeting that the secretary housing and urban development Punjab would be the convener whereas four others, including the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) DG, special secretary Local Government & Community Development and the chief metropolitan planner LDA, would work as members of the committee.
He said the committee would hear the public complaints related to management, maintenance and improvement of the private housing schemes and commercial buildings in addition to legality and constitutionality of charging of user fees, rates, utility bills, etc against the provided facilities and services.
According to the FDA DG, the committee would also redress the matters regarding transfer charges, sale deeds, ownership rights of the properties after complete payments by the buyers.
The complaints or misuse of the amenity plots and utilities in private housing schemes and commercial buildings would also be redressed expeditiously and the people could submit their complaints in this regard at FDA one-window counter or in the office of DC.
