ISLAMABAD: A Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) spokesperson on Wednesday lambasted the caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar for his “irresponsible, worrisome and unacceptable” statements concerning the political fate of PTI Chairman Imran Khan and his party, insisting the interim PM to fulfil his constitutional duty to hold free and fair polls in stipulated timeframe.

In a statement, the spokesperson termed the caretaker premier’s remarks very reckless, shocking and unacceptable that clearly indicated the role of caretaker government in the ongoing unconstitutional and immoral political engineering in the country.

He emphasised that any attempt to remove PTI or its chairman’s name from the ballot papers would be a criminal act against the country and its people, and such disastrous move would not be tolerated come what may.

Accuses caretaker premier of political engineering; warns against removing PTI from ballot

He accused the caretaker PM of attempting to create confusion and waste the nation’s time by focusing on irrelevant and unrelated issues, instead of fulfilling his constitutional responsibilities to conduct free and undisputed elections within the constitutionally mandated time limit.

The PTI spokesperson made it clear that the caretaker PM neither has the mandate nor the authority to exclude PTI or its chairman from the electoral race. He warned that the nation would not accept any such conspiracy, and they would resist any such notorious plan vehemently.

The spokesperson pointed out that the caretaker PM’s leniency in statements regarding the execution of the law upon the return of fugitives and court-convicted individuals was a clear manifestation of the notorious “London Plan.”

The spokesperson said that the discernible leniency in statements of the caretaker PM regarding the execution of the law upon the return of the fugitives and court-convicted persons was a clear manifestation of the notorious “London Plan”.

He questioned what justification interim PM Kakar would present before the nation for his baseless accusations against PTI.

The PTI spokesperson reiterated that the future of a prosperous and developed Pakistan depends on fair, impartial, and transparent polls conducted within constitutionally defined time limits.
