EDITORIAL: ONCE again belatedly the NWFP Government have declared the Red Shirt organisation unlawful and ordered the forfeiture of its property at Sardaryab which was the centre of its nefarious and traitorous activities. This measure will have wholehearted … support… . Such doubts as might have been lurking in the minds of some that the Khan brothers and their followers were, after all, not capable of treachery towards Pakistan … were finally removed when Abdul Ghaffar Khan’s conspiracy with the Fakir of Ipi and the dangerous preparations which he had made to … abet the attempted insurrection of Ipi against Pakistan became known.

It is not without deep significance that every time a blow is struck against the Red Shirts in Pakistan it appears to hit some people in … India. The arrest, trial and imprisonment of Abdul Ghaffar Khan, and shortly afterwards the detention of his brother, Dr Khan Sahib, evoked wails of lamentation from the Communal Hindu Press… . Once again these Indian newspapers have let forth howls of protest in chorus at the banning of the Red Shirt organisation. These communalists have … been so blinded by their self-consuming … hatred for Pakistan that they do not realise how they are themselves proving the unholy alliance which existed between the Red Shirts and the enemies of Pakistan.
