TAXILA: Police on Friday claimed to have arrested a man who had allegedly stabbed and critically injured his wife and mother-in-law over a domestic dispute in Mirza village in the limits of Attock police station.

The victim reported to the police that she had married to Noor Muhammad six years ago and had three kids. She alleged that her husband had been subjecting her to domestic violence and she had gone to her parents’ house to get a break from the daily torture where she and her mother faced the attack.

In another incident, the same police arrested a drug peddler identified as Basharat Sharif and recovered 1.2-kilogramme hashish from his possession.
