SARGODHA: Desperate for a son, a villager killed his 18 months old daughter in Bhagtanwala area on Thursday.
Muzamil of Chak 81-NB was upset after his wife gave birth to a third daughter. He maid several attempts in the past to kill her but was refrained by the wife and other relatives.
On Thursday, he made the daughter swallow some poison. She was taken to a hospital but she expired on the way.
Police said the hunt for the accused was on.
