KASUR: A man allegedly shot his sister dead in the name of honour at Baqarkay village in the limits of the Khudian Police Station on Tuesday.

Zulfiqar had suspicion that his sister, Hina Sadaf, had a relationship with somebody. On the day of the incident, he exchanged harsh words with her and shot her dead.

The police shifted the body to the district headquarters (DHQ) hospital and started an investigation.

PFA: A Punjab Food Authority (PFA) team seized scores of dead chickens from a poultry shop at village Kaisar Garh in the limits of Saddar police station.

On a tip-off, a team, led by PFA) Deputy Director Abdul Mateen, raided a poultry shop and caught a shopkeeper, identified as Majid, red-handed when he was slaughtering dead chicken to supply them to a fast-food outlet.

The raiding team also recovered over 50 dead chickens from the shop and buried them in a nearby field.

The suspect was handed over to the police that lodged a case against him.
