Warner Bros Discovery has released exciting new images from Meg 2: The Trench. The film brings back the prehistoric predator for another action-packed adventure, with Jason Statham’s character, Jonas Taylor, facing off against a group of dangerous sharks.

The images showcase thrilling scenes, including Statham kicking the Meg and being chased by multiple sharks on a water jet ski. Directed by Ben Wheatley, the movie follows Jonas and his research team as they dive into the ocean’s depths, only to find themselves in a high-stakes battle for survival against the Megs.

Meg 2: The Trench is currently in theatres.

Fast X surprised fans with a post-credits scene featuring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Luke Hobbs. Johnson’s involvement in the franchise seemed over after his public feud with Vin Diesel. However, in 2022, Johnson revealed they had privately resolved their differences and decided to move forward together. Now, Johnson is set to headline a Hobbs spinoff film, leading into Fast X: Part 2. Fans were relieved as they loved Hobbs and wanted him back for the finale. Both Fast X: Part 2 and the Hobbs movie are in development.

The films in the popular Despicable Me franchise have always performed well and get repeat viewings from kids and families.

Right now, however, the only Despicable Me movie currently available on a major streaming service is last year’s Minions: The Rise of Gru, which is on Netflix. However, Peacock released its full list of movies and TV shows set to be added to the service’s streaming lineup this month. The first Minions movie is one of several popular animated films joining the Peacock roster.
