LAKKI MARWAT: Two brothers and their mother were killed and as many injured by their relatives over a property dispute in Peeran Tughalkhel area of Bannu district on Saturday, the police said.

Officials of Miryakhel police station said relatives shot dead Sareed Ali Shah, 30, his brother, Jalal Shah, 12, and mother, Zartaj Bibi, 45, inside their house.

They said Hilal Khan, 15, Aalia Bibi, 21, and Aarfeen Bibi, 18, were wounded in the attack.

Injured Hilal Khan told the police in his preliminary report that he along with other inmates was at home when someone knocked on the main gate. He said his brother, Sareed Ali, was shot dead as soon as he opened the gate.

“At the same time, our cousins, Mehad, Farhad and Sajid, all brothers, entered our house and opened fire on other inmates, killing my brother and mother,” he claimed.

He told the police he along with his sister, Aarfeen Bibi and sister-in-law, Aalia Bibi were injured.

The police said the deceased and the injured were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, where the bodies were handed over to relatives after completing medico-legal formalities. They said they had registered a case against the alleged killers and began investigation.

Meanwhile, a police constable was arrested after a small quantity of hashish was recovered from him inside the Tajori police station, said an official on Saturday.

SHO Shafqatullah Khan said he had received complaints against constable, Sadiqullah for his involvement in narcotics selling.

“After receiving credible information that the cop had kept hashish in his official box, I along with another cop went to the barrack and seized 415 grams of hashish from the box in the constable’s presence,” he claimed.

The SHO said a case had been registered against him under section 9-C of Control of Narcotics Substances Act.
