Pyro my dragon friend

This is with reference to the story, “Pyro my dragon friend” by Fatima Athar (YW, April 29). I enjoyed reading the story because it was different from the usual ones. It told the tale of a dragon becoming friends with a human, which was really interesting.

The detailed descriptions made me stay engaged and read until the end. The story also taught a valuable lesson about the importance of assisting others in their time of need.

What attracts us to spooky stuff

This is with reference to the cover article “What attracts us to spooky stuff?” by Rizwana Naqvi (YW, May 3).

It brought back some fond memories of my childhood when my grandmother used to tell us scary stories upon our request. My brother and I eagerly visited her room every night, and waited impatiently until she started. Personally, I enjoyed listening to those stories. However, my brother, despite his initial curiosity, would often become frightened and couldn’t bear to hear them for long.

I would like to request the YW team to include scary stories in the magazine as this genre is barely touched in the recent years.

A babysitting experience

This is regarding the story “A babysitting experience” by Alizeh Shoaib (YW, May 13). The story was quite entertaining, with a humorous start that gradually became more settled as it reached the climax.

The amusing part was the description of the little girl causing mischief around the house and playfully teasing her babysitter; this also highlights the patience required to handle young children.

It was an enjoyable read, and I would encourage the writer to continue creating humorous stories like this one.

The story “A babysitting experience” by Alizeh Shoaib reminded me of how mothers selflessly care for their children throughout their lives. It made me think of how we may hesitate or become impatient when we are asked to look after even our own siblings for a short period of time.

The story conveyed a powerful message about the importance of understanding and appreciating the challenges that mothers face. I found the story enjoyable, as it portrayed the mischievous behaviour of the little girl in a realistic manner. In fact, it showcased the unstoppable nature of toddlers.
