How to build lasting trust in friendship

This is with reference to the cover story “How to build lasting trust in friendship” by Faraz Ahmed (YW, February 25).

Friendship is an extraordinary relationship — a bond in which we can share anything with someone, without the fear of being judged and criticised. And the article beautifully explained how we can make it stronger and more reliable by building lasting trust.

Save the earth

This is regarding the story “Save the earth” by Hira Fatima Mangi (YW, March 4). No doubt, trees play a key role in keeping earth’s atmosphere clean and neat.

It is our responsibility to take care of trees around us and plant more trees. Moreover, it is also the responsibility of the local authorities to take adequate actions against those who cut trees illegally.

I appreciate Hira Fatima Mangi for writing the story “Save the earth”. She used a simple plot to explain the importance of trees in an effective way, making it easy for anyone to understand. People should plant more trees around their houses because several studies have shown that spending time with and around greenery reduces stress, blood pressure and improves one’s mood.

The story “Save the earth” by Hira Fatima Mangi is a reminder to all of us to make this world green and clean.

It is our responsibility to take action and preserve the natural resources for the future generations. We can do this by adopting sustainable practices, such as conserving water and energy, recycling, and using eco-friendly products.

We can also support policies and initiatives that promote environmental protection. We must work together to create a sustainable future for ourselves and for the generations to come.

Coaching the right way

This is with reference to the article “Coaching the right way”’ by Faruk Ahmed (YW, March 25). The writer provided a different perspective on dealing with slow learners or those who are being perceived as inept in studies.

While this is not true for everyone as there could be various underlying factors behind their performance; so before drawing conclusion, one should always consider other aspects of a person’s life.
