KARACHI: An angry mob attempted to lynch two suspected robbers in New Karachi Industrial Area, police said on Sunday.

They said that area people captured two suspects in Sector 6-B near Shuhda Masjid and subjected them to a severe beating.

The mob tried to kill them but the police arrived there and saved the suspects from the wrath of the people.

The suspects were identified as Amir Lutuf and Mukhtiar, both aged 35.

They were taken into custody and shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment, the area police said.
