TOBA TEK SINGH: A farmer’s 17-year-old daughter was allegedly gang-raped by three dacoits late on Tuesday in Chak Veer Garh, 6 Kassi Wala, in Kabirwala.

The complainant told the Kabirwala Saddar police that three outlaws forced their entry into his house, looted cash, three mobile phones, cloth and a goat. Before fleeing, they tied with ropes the complainant and his son and gang-raped his daughter.

The medical examination of the alleged rape survivor was conducted. The police are looking into the case.

KILLED: Chaudhry Fraz Rauf, a known political figure of Gojra, was murdered on Wednesday evening in his village, Chak 364-JB.

He was the cousin of Special Assistant for Political Affairs to Chief Minister Chaudhry Umar Iftikhar.

According to Gojra city police, the deceased was on his way to his farmland on a motorcycle when two unidentified masked motorcyclists opened indiscriminate fire on him near Mochiwala link Road.

He was rushed to the Gojra THQ hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds. Sources said the deceased had an old enmity with a family in his village.

TRACED: According to police, three out of four members of an inter-district poultry bird looters gang were caught after the blind murder of a poultry truck owner.

The body of Imran Aslam of Jhang was discovered by Rajana police on Oct 22, 2022, near Chak 183-GB, Miankot. Tariq Akbar of Faisalabad, Rizwan Zahoor of Sheikhupura, and Farman Ali of Jhang admitted to the police that they and their fourth accomplice, Adnan Bashir of Gojra, shot Imran and stole his birds-laden van.

They admitted to carrying out such robberies on highways in Okara, Kot Addu, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Burewala, Toba, and Jhang. The police were raiding to arrest their fourth accomplice.

ENCOUNTER: A robber was injured in an encounter with Jhang’s Mochiwala police on Wednesday near Chak 213-JB.

The Jhang police said Azam Ajji of Faisalabad and his two accomplices snatched cash, a motorcycle and other valuables from a man. A police party chased them on information near Sem Nullah, where a crossfire took place between police and outlaws.

Police later found Azam injured by receiving bullets from his accomplices who managed to flee. He was admitted to the DHQ Hospital.

According to police, he was wanted for more than 15 robberies.

ELECTROCUTED: A petrol pump employee was electrocuted in Khanewal on Wednesday.

Talib Hussain was carrying a steel staircase, which touched high-intensity electric wires passing over the pump located at Adda Pira Pulli on Jhang-Khanewal Road.

He received a heavy electric shock and died.
