Maulana Nadvi passes away

TORONTO, Jan 2: Maulana Wasi Mazhar Nadvi, a former federal minister for religious affairs, died in Canada on Monday, family sources told Dawn.

They said that Maulana Nadvi, a former mayor of Hyderabad, was admitted to a hospital in the Kitchener town, 75 kilometres west of Toronto.

He had been living in Canada for more than eight years.
