MARDAN: A man killed his sister, her two sons and also injured her husband over a family dispute in Mosam Koroona area here on Sunday, the police and rescue officials said.

Officials of Par Hoti police station said that the alleged killer identified as Hazrat Said opened indiscriminate fire on his sister, her husband, Mohammad Rafiq, 60, and their two sons, Haider,14, and Faizaan, 25, after exchanging hot words with them over a family dispute.

As a result of the firing, the officials said, the woman and her two sons died instantly, while her husband received critical injuries.

The police said preliminary investigations revealed that daughter of the alleged killer was married with a son of the slain woman, but she was staying in her parents’ home after developing some differences with her husband.

The alleged killer had come to her in-laws’ home to settle the dispute, but he got infuriated during an argument with his sister and her husband, which led to the untoward incident of firing. The attacker fled the scene.

The police registered FIR on the complaint of injured, Rafiq, against the accused, and started making efforts to arrest him.
