LAHORE: Lahore Garri­son Club won the All-Pakistan Rumanza Inter-club Golf Championship at the Rumanza Golf Club, Multan on Sunday.

Matloob Ahmed, Mohammad Shahzad, Mohammad Alam, Damil Ataullah, Ahmed Kayani, Usman Akram Sahi, Mustafa Bilal, retired Lt Col Asif Mehdi, retired Lt Col Mohammad Shafi and Tariq Mehmood combined to give the winning team an aggregate score of 1564.

The Karachi Golf Club (KGC) came second with an aggregate of 1581. Their team comprised Waheed Baloch, Mohammad Zubair, Mudasir Iqbal, Saim Shazli, Yashal Shah, Arsalan Shikoh Khan, Samir Feroz, Khurram Khan, Khalid Jamil Siddiqui and Asad.I.A.Khan.

Lahore Gymkhana team (1587) finished third. Their team included Shahid Javed, Aadil Jehangir, Talat Ijaz, Salman Jehangir, Qasim Ali Khan, Hussain Hamid, Danish Javed, Omer Javed Zia, Asim Tiwana and Shafique Bhatti.

The individual amateur segment winner was young Damil Ataullah won the individual amateur segment with impressive three-round scores of 70, 69, 71, six under par. He won a seven-day Umrah trip.

The 17-year-old Omer Khalid of DHA Karachi was second with three-round scores of 71, 72 and 74, one over par while Yashal Shah, also of Karachi, had a final-day round of 68, the best score in the amateur category, and finished at 219, three over par.

Meanwhile Hamza Amin (70, 71, 68) and Ahmed Baig (69, 68, 69), both of whom are associated with the Rumanza Golf Club, excelled among the professionals.
