KARACHI: A portion of an abandoned British-era building collapsed in Ranchhore Line near Rajpoot Hospital on Wednesday.

City SSP Shabbir Ahmed Sethar said that the Padam Singh building was located on Sundas Road in Ramswami.

He said that the building was closed for the past 10-12 years due to its dilapidated condition. He said that a portion of the old building fell.

A contingent of police reached the scene and cordoned off the site to avoid any mishap to passers-by and motorists.
