HYDERABAD, Dec 22: The regional office of the Sindh ombudsman has disposed of 223 of 320 complaints, redressing people’s grievances.

This was stated by the secretary to the ombudsman secretariat, Mr Bakhshal Gudaro, while talking to media perssonel at the circuit house here on Wednesday.

He said the main purpose of the provincial or regional ombudsman office was to provide justice against excesses and wrongdoings being done by functionaries of the government.

He said that any victimized person could get justice by submitting a complaint at any regional office near to him as six regional offices had been made functional in the province. He said the complainant had no need to hire services of any advocate as management of the ombudsman secretariat itself would defend rights of the complainant.

Mr Gudaro said he was on an inspection visit to different regional offices to conduct hearing of cases and his next visit would be to Nawabshah, Sukkur and Larkana.

Expressing his satisfaction over disposal of complaints, the secretary stressed the need for creating awareness among the common people about easy procedure for getting easy justice from the regional ombudsman office.
