QUETTA: Balochistan High Court (BHC) Chief Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan has said students are real asset of the country and they should strive hard to ensure supremacy of law.

While speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the newly-constructed academic block of Faculty of Legal Education in Turbat University on Friday, Justice Afghan expressed his delight over the presence of a large number of female students who are pursuing law education at the university.

“I am happy to see such a large number of female students acquiring law education at the Faculty of Legal Education in Turbat University,” the BHC chief justice said.

He said that the presence of female student showed their interest in the field of law.

Justice Afghan advised the students to demonstrate dedication and seriousness towards their studies to lead a successful professional life in the field of law.

Later, during an interactive session with the students and faculty members, the chief justice shared his experiences of being a student and his professional life .

He advised the students to remain committed to the noble profession to serve the society.

He assured the university administration that whenever he came to Turbat in future, he would deliver lectures in the university.

He also requested other judges and senior lawyers to ensure increased interaction with law students.

Earlier, the chief justice inaugurated the newly-constructed academic block of the faculty.

At this ocassion, he was briefed by officials about the development work for Phase II of the faculty.

Justice Abdul Hameed Baloch and Justice Sardar Ahmed Haleemi of the BHC, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Jan Mohammad, Pro Vice Chancellor Dr Mansoor Ahmed, Dean of Faculty of Legal Education Prof Dr Gul Hasan, Registrar Ganguzar Baloch, Director Ijaz Ahmed, Balochistan Bar Council Vice President Qasim Gajezai and others attended the ceremony.
