LAHORE: The Pakistan Hockey Federation on Friday announced the appointment of Kaleemullah as chief selector in place of late Manzoor Hussain Junior.

The former Olympian had been given the same post in July when PHF had changed Manzoor’s post to manager of the junior team before the latter was re-appointed as chief selector only a month later.

Manzoor, a legendary Pakistan forward, passed away in the last week of August after suffering a cardiac arrest.

Nasir Ali has been retained from the previous selections committee with Olympians Raheem Khan and Shakeel Abbasi as well as former international Laiq Lashari having been inducted to it.
