We all love to decorate our houses with items that are aesthetically pleasing. Yes, decoration is very important as it just gives an attractive look to an ordinary room or any corner. Decoration is not only limited to something you can buy from the market, you can experiment with your imagination and make amazing and unique stuff that expresses how you feel and like your surroundings to be.

Today’s craft is a simple yet pretty little wall-hanging made from old CD and a piece of jute fabric that can be hung in any corner of your room or at the door. So let’s start.

Things you need:

  1. Old or used CD
  2. Piece of jute fabric, according to the size of the CD
  3. Small plastic cup
  4. Thin jute rope
  5. Scissors
  6. Hot glue
  7. Flowers and leaves (for decoration)

  1. Cut the jute fabric according to the size of the CD, picture 2.

  2. Paste it on the CD with hot glue, and keep it aside, picture 3.

  3. Ideally, the plastic cup has to be very small, therefore, I used the one which comes with fast foods for ketchup or mayonnaise, picture 4.

  4. Cut the cup in half, picture 5.

  5. Now wrap thin jute rope around the half cup, picture 6.

  6. Keep wrapping until you reach the top, pictures 7 and 8.

  7. Paste jute rope covered cup with hot glue on the CD, pictures 9 and 10.

  8. I had a leafy jute rope so I decorated the boundary of the CD with it, this is optional. If you really want, you can paste any ribbon on the edges, picture 11.

  9. Make a loop from the same leafy jute rope or ribbon and paste it behind the CD, picture 12.

  10. Put flowers and leaves inside the cup.
