HYDERABAD, Dec 16: The Sindh High Court, Hyderabad circuit bench, on Thursday asked the director of the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE), Karachi, to conduct an inquiry about why growers were being deprived of water.

The order was passed on a constitutional petition filed by Zohaib Hidayat.

He was represented by Advocate Basharat Ahmed Jatt.

The petitioner cited Hala UC-I Nazim Amir Bahzad, secretary irrigation, Sukkur barrage chief engineer, Hala division executive engineer, Saeedabad subdivision assistant executive engineer and superintending engineer as respondents. The petitioner said that the UC-1 nazim was quite hostile towards him and had occupied his land illegally.
